Dr. Darnisa Amante, as an educational and racial equity strategist, is deeply committed to the study of culture; innovation; and experiential ways to transform organizational and school culture on issues of racial equity. Since earning her master’s degree in Anthropology from Brandeis University, and her doctorate from Harvard’s Educational Leadership Doctorate (Ed.L.D.), Dr. Amante has honed her knowledge of culture and transforming cultures to build capacity in racial equity, parent engagement and design and implementation of equity-based initiatives for leaders, students, and parents and leaders.

John Fortney is an assistant principal at Owensville High School in Owensville, MO.  He is in his fourth year in this role and 15th year in education.  Owensville is a 600 student school located about 90 minutes southwest of St. Louis.  John is a career switcher, his first degree in in archaeology, followed up with a Master's in sports psychology and a Specialist in Educational Leadership.  John's wife is an administrator at a special education cooperative, together they have two children and (come October) two grand children.  In his free time he uses his smoker grill, reads, travels with his wife, and spend as much time as he can with family.

Both Rick & Rebecca (R&R) are educational disruptors and forward thinkers with a passion to support current and future educational leaders.  With their new book, Escaping the School Leaders Dunk Tank: How to Prevail When Others Want to See You Drown the mission is simple: break the glass ceiling to eliminate the status quo in order to ensure equity for ALL students. R&R have faced adversity in their careers and are willing to do whatever it takes to call out the “elephants” in the educational room so that we all can best serve kids.  They are also featured advice columnists for School Leaders Now.
 
Dr. Rick Jetter is currently a national educational consultant, author, speaker, and trainer.  He previously worked as a teacher, assistant principal, principal, assistant superintendent, and superintendent of schools.
