Dr. Philip D. Lanoue has a demonstrated record in leading school transformation at the building and district levels, creating new instructional models, improving student performance, and building positive community and school relationships. He is the 2015 AASA National Superintendent of the Year, as well as the 2015 Georgia Superintendent of the Year. Dr. Lanoue served as principal for 18 years in four high schools in Massachusetts and Vermont, his home state. He was named the Vermont NASSP Principal of the Year while principal of Burlington High School. Lanoue is one of the nation’s top 50 educational innovators in digital learning as named by Converge magazine. His work in supervision and evaluation has been recognized by the University of Georgia (UGA). He is an Adjunct professor at the University of Georgia, and he was a leading contributor in designing one of the nation’s top Professional Development School Districts in partnership with UGA. He has written extensively on the new role of leaders with internationally-renowned expert Dr. Sally Zepeda.

Dr. Jeffrey Zoul is a lifelong teacher, learner, and leader. During Jeff’s distinguished career in education he has served in a variety of roles, most recently as Assistant Superintendent for Teaching and Learning with Deerfield Public Schools District 109 in Deerfield, Illinois. Jeff also served as a teacher and coach in the State of Georgia for many years before moving into school administration. 
 
Zoul has also taught graduate courses at the university level in the areas of assessment, research, and program evaluation. He is the author/co-author of many books, including What Connected Educators Do Differently, Start. Right. Now. - Teach and Lead for Excellence, Improving Your School One Week at a Time, and Leading Professional Learning: Tools to Connect and Empower Teachers. 
 
Jeff has earned several degrees, including his undergraduate degree from the University of Massachusetts and his doctoral degree from the University of Alabama. He is also been recognized for his work as an educational leader on numerous occasions, including the 2014 Bammy Educators’ Voice Award. In his spare time, Jeff enjoys running and has completed over a dozen marathons. Zoul resides in Evanston, Illinois. 
 
 
Jimmy Casas recently completed his 22nd year in educational leadership, the last fourteen years as principal of Bettendorf High School in Iowa.
 
 
Jimmy was named the 2012 Iowa Secondary Principal of the Year and was selected as one of three finalists for NASSP 2013 National Secondary Principal of the Year.   In 2014, Jimmy was invited to the White House to speak on the Future Ready Schools pledge. He is the Co-Founder of EdCampIowa and also the Co-Founder of #IAedchat, an on-line discussion chat that takes place every Sunday evening at 8:00 p.m. CST.  Jimmy is the co-author of two popular educational books with Todd Whitaker and Jeff Zoul entitled, “What Connected Educators Do Differently,” and “Start. Right. Now.  Teach and Lead for Excellence”
 
Jimmy currently serves as a Senior Fellow for the International Center for Leadership in Education (ICLE) and also serves as an adjunct professor for Drake University, teaching a graduate course on Educational Leadership.

Eric Ewald is an elementary school principal in North Liberty, Iowa. He is in his first year as the Lead Learner and Chief Storyteller at Van Allen Elementary of the Iowa City Community School District. Van Allen is a PreK through 6th grade building of approximately 550 students. This is Eric’s fifth year as an elementary school principal. Eric’s wife is a first grade teacher in a neighboring District; they have two children, a kindergarten son and an almost three-year-old daughter.

Lance McClard is a proud Missouri public school educator. He is happily married to his wife, Laura, a high school counselor, and father of three children: ages 10, 7, and 8 months. The son of an educator, Lance followed in his father’s footsteps and became a teacher himself. Lance has taught 4th, 7th, and 8th grade. He started his teaching career in South Carolina before accepting a position in his hometown of Jackson, Missouri. After pursuing his Master’s, specialist, and doctoral degrees, Lance accepted a dual position as a building principal and assistant principal before becoming an elementary principal of two buildings. Additionally, he coordinates his district’s elementary new teacher program. Outside of his regular responsibilities as an administrator, Lance has helped plan and organize edCamps. He is involved in the Missouri Association of Elementary School Principals and will serve as the local southeast region president. Additionally, Lance has recently joined ConnectEd Learning STL to help them achieve their mission; to support those who desire to learn more, are willing to take risks, and think differently about the problems we face in education today.
